EA Amplify Artist Search Winner Announced

Aussie four-piece Aplonea has been crowned the grand prize winners of the EA Amplify Artist Search – a music search for the hottest emerging new artist talents in the Asia Pacific region.

Open to residents of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, China and Taiwan, the competition – hosted in collaboration with partners EMI, Sony BMG, Gibson, Xbox®, and Motorola - garnered a huge response from fresh talent, with hundreds of entries in each territory across the region.

Aplonea’s winning track, ‘To Love Again’ wowed the judges with its heavy, riff laden sound and driving energy.

Aplonea win the chance to have their winning track featured for worldwide release in an EA game – and they’ve also scored recording deals with major record labels EMI!

The Artist Search - part of the EA Amplify program – is designed to give bands a chance to win a unique music industry opportunity and is judged by a panel made up of music specialists from EA and competition partners. EA Amplify is an online hub; created by EA for aspiring artists and unsigned bands from across the Asia Pacific region, giving new talents the chance to profile themselves and showcase their music.

Grand prize winners Aplonea also win a bundle of awesome prizes provided by Artist Search partners, including an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Guitar from Gibson, Xbox 360®., the videogame and entertainment system from Microsoft®, and a MOTOROKR E2 mobile phone from Motorola.
